Owing to the deadline of collection of nomination forms at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Abuja, former Aviation Minister, Felix Hyat, has picked the party’s nomination form to contest the 2015 governorship poll in Kaduna State.
Though the party had endorsed Governor Mukhtar Yero for another term, but Hyat mentioned that he is in the race to provide good leadership and dividends of democracy to the people. He said that the endorsement of the incumbent Governor does not call for worry but he is not desperate to emerge as the party’s candidate.
While assuring his supporters of security and peace if elected, Hyat stressed that he may not step down for any aspirants.
His words: “PDP is a democratic party and Nigerians know that candidates are always decided at primaries. So, the issue of stepping down for the incumbent does not arise.
“I have consulted widely before I went to Abuja to pick the form, and if I’m not serious, I wouldn’t have picked the nomination form.”
