Re: FG appeals court ruling on Zakzaky’s release
I saw the above news report in the Daily Trust of Friday (27/01/2017) that the Nigerian government after weeks of contempt of Court has finally appealed the judgement of Federal High Court 6 Abuja that freed the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, and his wife from detention. Excerpt from that news report stated:
“The Federal government has appealed the ruling of the Federal High Court, Abuja that ordered release of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky. The appellants are the State Security Service (SSS), the Nigeria Police force and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) while Zakzaky was named as the respondent. The appellants filed seven grounds of appeal before the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division in which they challenged the award of N50 million in favour of Zakzaky’s wife Zeenat, saying that it was against the weight of evidence and the law.”
Justice Gabriel Kolawole had December 2, 2016 ordered the release of Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife from detention into an accommodation that must be provided for them by the government within 45 days. Sheikh Zakzaky had been in illegal detention since December 15, 2015 and the trial court ruled that the continued detention of the duo violated their rights under Section 35 (1) of the Constitution and provisions of the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights.
Nigerian government resorted to the Court of Appeal on the illegal detention of Sheikh Zakzaky did not come as a surprise as President Buhari, Governor Elrufai and their murderous cabal that slaughtered 1000+ Shia civilians during ZariaMassacre and dumped their dead bodies in mass graves will do everything to hold on to their illegality and criminality. They committed genocide against defenseless Nigerians and they want to legally justify the mass-murder of Nigerians & the mass graves they dumped their victims.
President Buhari sent heavily-armed Soldiers to the residence of Sheikh Zakzaky where they killed 100s of his followers, burnt dozens of Nigerians alive, killed his 3 children in his presence, killed his young Nephew and burnt his 70+ year-old sister alive. Instead of President Buhari and his gang of mass-murderers allow Sheikh Zakzaky to mourn his losses and take care of his health after seven (7) gunshot wounds that blinded one of his eyes, they threw him into illegal detention incommunicado for more than 13 months. Among the entire human family Only the murderous bloodthirsty Wahhabi Savages can perpetrate such evil and sustain it.
On the issue of the claims by the Nigerian government that Sheikh Zakzaky’s wife is not under detention, this decision was taken after the Federal High Court ruling that freed her as through out the trial period the Nigerian government did not make such claim and for the entire duration of her detention she was not told that she is not under detention.
As is inferred from the historic judgement of Justice Gabriel Kolawole that the concept of “protective custody” is a monumental fraudulent reason given by the Nigerian government on the illegal detention of Sheikh Zakzaky. The ZariaMassacre of 1000+ was an evil imperialist agenda that has the Savage Saudi regime as a front. The Nigerian tyrant massacred 1000+ defenseless Nigerian civilians to further this evil imperialist agenda and to please the bloodthirsty king Salman of Saudi Arabia. The Nigerian tyrant and his gang of mass-murderers initially thought they can easily get away with this mass-murder of Nigerians but with the International Criminal Court (ICC) on the case the tide has changed.
President Buhari and his gang of mass-murders have tried to infiltrate IMN tobe violent so as to justify their brutal and inhuman genocide but they failed. They paid murderous Wahhabi hoodlums to provoke IMN to violence during the Ashura mourning ceremonies but IMN showed the most extreme restrain. Those that ordered and executed the ZariaMassacre are murderous criminals that history will hold to account one day. They murdered 1000+ souls created by God and wickedly dumped their dead bodies in mass graves at night. This is the peak of evilness.
On a final note, I call on all members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) to be patient and law abiding as they are known. The tyrannical and oppressive Nigerian regime will never win on the illegal and inhuman detention of Sheikh Zakzaky. The IMN has shown Nigerians the viability of peaceful resistance despite monumental massacre and injustice.
