Angry youths in Gaya Local Government Area of Kano state on Wednesday set ablaze buildings belonging to Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, House of Representatives member, Abdullahi Gaya, Gaya Federal House of representatives member, Mahmud Abdullahi Chairman of Gaya Local Government and the honourable member representing Gaya in the Kano State House Assembly.
A statement released by Senator Gaya decried the burning of his farm and others’ houses.
Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya is reported to be in America.
The youth protested violently since the early morning over the failure of the Senators and representatives to fulfill their campaign promises. They burned the homes including country home and farms of the officials.
The youths said the senators failed their promises to provide jobs, electricity and other campaign promises made under no duress in 2015.
