Nigeria’s First-lady, Patience Jonathan and the nation’s oil minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, known as the oil-goddess have reportedly jetted to the United Kingdom.
Punch reported that since a day after the March 28th elections, Patience Jonathan has not been seen in public and did not attend any Easter functions; a source in the Aso rock telling Punch that she jetted to the UK for family reasons.
Oil goddess Diezani Alison-Madueke reportedly traveled this Monday on board a British Airways flight from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, shortly after her visit to Amnesty minister General Abdulsalami Abubakar. It is alleged that she could not yet broker a satisfactory amnesty deal. iReports-ng.com said Diezani feigned illness as reason for travel.
We had exclusively reported that president Goodluck Jonathan has told the oil goddess as well as Ekiti governor Ayo Fayose and others that they should help themselves or leave the kitchen.
