President Musa Yaradua

NewsRescue- Nigeria’s president, Musa Yaradua has arrived back in the capital Abuja three months after seeking medical treatment in Saudi Arabia, raising fresh questions over the leadership of Africa’s most populous nation.

He arrived in a Saudi jet accompanied by the presidential jet in the late hours of Tuesday night.

Reports reaching our desk are that a possible military coup is on the way in Africa’s most populous Nation, this being headed by ex President, Badamosi Babangida (IBB).

Two battalions are said to be keeping the acting president, Jonathan Goodluck under house arrest. Ex president Olusegun Obasanjo has also been said to have been picked up by the Nations security forces for his camping with the acting president.

Tensions have erupted and persisted in Nigeria since Yarduas 90 day absence while admitted in a hospital in Saudi Arabia. There has yet been no immediate word on the condition of the 58-year-old ailing presidents health condition and his fitness to rule, but it appears he has been brought back to facilitate a coup of sort.

At present there are 2 presidents in Nigeria.  The NADECO opposition that was active led by Professor Wole Soyinka in the Abiola saga have come to life and there have been marches upon demonstrations led by all prominent leaders, of the likes of Tunde Bakare.

It is rumored that disgruntled elements in the army particularly from Middle Belt are planning to ensure Jonathan is president, this is as a result of a posting made last week in which all senior posts were given to the North and the incessant violence in the Jos area which has been neglected.

The Niger Delta militants have promised to blow up every single oil installation if anything happens to the presidency of Jonathan.

We will update this release with information as we receive it.

I just stumbled on this site and i am amazed at what i am seeing. It appears we in Nigeria get a different view of the events in the political cycles from those outside.Imagine hearing that President Goodluck Jonathan was under guard.I know that he was rumoured to be inactive because the powers of the president hadn’t yet been given to him and many Yaradua loyalists were afraid that giving him that power may undermine the power of the President.I wonder where this story came from but it is definitely eye-catching.

Our God never sleeps. I’m positive that the few will not have their way this time. Some times when you push a ram to the wall, it turns back and bits you. However, we are peace loving people and are saying let every body, especially those interested in causing problems come to repentance.

The six-man ministerial team set up by the Executive Council of the Federation (EXCOF) to pay him a visit only left for Saudi Arabia Monday night… Why should it happen that way..

  16. BUZO (NIGERIA) says:

A few selfish Northern Politicians want to drag Nigeria to civil war and scuttle the current democratic process but God will not allow them. Nigeria is greater than their selfish interests of keeping an unhealthy President to enable them continue the looting of the Nation’s treasury unchecked. For Christ’s sake, how can somebody smuggle the President of Nigeria into the country in the middle of the night unannounced and in total darkness. There is something snister going on in some peoples mind and Nigerians are watching.

  17. Enigma says:

i just stumbled on this piece and must say THERE IS NO TRUTH IN IT.NIGERIA DOES NOT HAVE TWO PRESIDENTS………THE ISSUE OF PROPER HAND OVER BY AILING PRESIDENT YARADUA TO ACTING PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN WILL BE ADDRESSED. OUR DEMOCRACY IS HERE TO STAY, BUT WE REALISE THAT A CABAL IS WORKING FOR THEIR OWN SELFISH INTERESTS, PLUS WE ARE STILL SUFFERING A HANGOVER FROM LONG MILITARY RULE, BUT..OUR DEMOCRACY IS HERE TO STAY..I AM A NIGERIAN LIVING IN NIGERIA, WATCHING THE HAPPENINGS IN NIGERIA

  18. pholly says:

i dont think there is need to pray or curse them now, bcos this is government of dem people, ruled by dem people and for dem people. God will make way for we masses.AMIN

  19. Mohammed AKA Megatrix says:

We have a lot of potential in Nigeria but i don think we will ever reach even half of it if we dont wake up, we look at countries like the U.S.A and we are happy to go there and enjoy whatever they have to offer forgetting or not even knowing how they got to where they are today, they didnt sit down and wait for miracles to happen U.S was once a very oppressive and hypocritical country especially in the government but the people stood up against the government until laws where fair to every single body even animals. we today are not ready to do anything no matter what the government does to us, just like what Fela said “we are too afraid to fight for liberty” we will never have any untill we fight for it,God helps those we help themselves. There is so much wrong with this country that it doesnt look like we have anything right in it again. we the people need to stand up dodging and pointing fingers at others, if you point one finger at someone three other fingers point back at you. AREN’T THE PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO APPOINT THE LEADERS AND SHOULDN’T THE LEADERS BE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE PEOPLE AS THE PEOPLE ARE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE LEADERS?

  20. VICTOR BOBAI,Nigeria says:

ANY ATTEMPT TO SCUTTLED OUR COUNTRY INTO BANANA REPUBLIC ;NIGERIANS WILL RESIST THIS WITH AGGRESSION,THIS COUNTRY BELONG TO US AND THEREFORE IT IS OUR DUTY TO PROTECT DEMOCRACY IN NIGERIA IN AS MUCH AS WE ARE PART OF A NATIONALITY THAT IS CAPABLE OF GIVEN OUR LIVES TO IT WE SHOULD NOT TOLERATE ANY DISPLAY OF POWER PLAY AT THE DETRIMENT OF OUR SURVIVAL.

  21. Tunde Enilolobo says:

I believ God is on the throne watching all this evil doers. nemesis will catch up soon

  22. Odefila Moses says:

I strongly believe that there is a secrete that God want to reveal that made Him to bring back President Yar’adua. Also I believe, people that put this country (NIGERIA) into ransome, their generations from First to Tenth will never witness peace. And God will surely deliver our greate Country from the hands of evildoers. AMEN
