NewsRescue- The article below and related articles raise pertinent questions,-  is the United States promoting a breakup, in what’s known as the ’tissue scarcity scare’ scenario, where the suggestion and promotion of a concept leads to its manifestation. Nigerians skeptical about the possibility of a breakup get reassured that best analysis from the US suggests its high possibility of success and parties in favor of this go ahead in full force to make this so-called expert analysis a reality? Or is a natural breakup indeed the reality?

The US has been known to be at the center of important breakups in the past. Countries like Vietnam and Korea had the US play a major skewed role, and when these Nations divided into North and South, the US stationed its troops at the border to defend usually the Southern territory, and the Northern usually became a rejected, isolated rudiment.

In Nigeria the North, currently the power holding block, which is majorly Muslim, and lacks petroleum resources will almost certainly be turned into an Arab aligned, possibly terrorist ‘axis of evil’, Nation. While the US will according to experts defend and instill puppet rule over the resourceful South, which it is believed it will assist in secession if a breakup war occurs. A breakup will certainly be bloody and cause years of internal wars, disability and suffering. Nigeria’s North is the food basket of the Nation, providing vegetables, cereal and beef, while the South is the industrial capital.

The US will likely favor such a breakup for obvious reasons- the current leader of Nigeria thumped his finger in the US nose, clearly rejecting the installation of US AFRICOM military command in Nigeria. Nigeria’s government has also of recent signed deals with Russia and Iran for major resource, military and power(Nuclear generation) mutual ventures. This alliance possibly does not sit well with the US. In addition, Nigeria has been promoting development, not by serving US interest but by cooperation’s with nations like Brazil and China.

Pains of war {Nigeriaworldview blog}

ThisDay- The United States military had, in May 2008, conducted a war games test called Unified Quest 2008, to ascertain how its military might respond to a war in parts of Africa including Nigeria and Somalia.

According to an article written by Director of the African Security Research Project in Washington, DC and Guest Columnist of AllAfrica Global Media, Mr. Daniel Volman ( See: One World Media For ‘Global Citizens’- 2009 World Economic Forum; Are You Ready? ), the Nigerian scenario was predicated upon a possible war in 2013. The article observed that it was the first time the African scenarios were included, as part of Pentagon’s plan to create a new military command for Africa: the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM). It also emerged that “the free flow of natural resources from Africa to the global market” was one of the “guiding principles” of AFRICOM, asarticulated by Vice Admiral Robert Moeller at an AFRICOM conference held at Fort McNair on February 18, 2008.

The 2013 war date, the article said, was a test of how AFRICOM could respond to a crisis in Nigeria in the event that rival factions and rebels fight for control of the oil fields of the Niger Delta and the government was near collapse.
Among scenarios examined, Volman said, were the possibility of direct American military intervention involving some 20,000 US troops in order to “secure the oil,” bearing in mind that Nigeria is a major supplier of US oil needs.
Also, the question of how to handle possible splits between factions within the Nigerian government was tested.
Other options included diplomatic pressure, military action, with or without the aid of European and African nations.
One participant, US Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Mark Stanovich, drew up a plan that called for the deployment of thousands of U.S. troops within 60 days, which even he thought was undesirable, Volman stated.

“American intervention could send the wrong message: that we are backing a government that we don’t intend to,” Stanovich said. Other participants suggested that it would be better if the U.S. government sent a request to South Africa or Ghana to send troops into Nigeria instead,” the article stated.

According to Major Robert Thornton, an officer with the Joint Center for International Security Force Assistance at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, “it became apparent that it was actually green (the host nation government) which had the initiative, and that any blue [the U.S. government and its allies] actions within the frame were contingent upon what green was willing to tolerate and accommodate.”“As the game progressed, according to former U.S. ambassador David Lyon, it became clear that the government of Nigeria was a large part of the problem. As he put it, ‘we have a circle of elites [the government of Nigeria] who have seized resources and are trying to perpetuate themselves. Their interests are not exactly those of the people,” said the article.

“The recommendations which the participants drew up for the Army’s Chief of Staff, General George Casey, do not appear to be publicly available, as what the participants finally concluded was not known. But since the war games took place in the midst of the presidential election campaign, General Casey decided to brief both John McCain and Barack Obama on its results,” the article stated.

The game ended without military intervention because one of the rival factions executed a successful coup and formed a new government that sought stability.

AFRICOM representatives were said to be in communication throughout the test, but non of their officers were part of the event, said Volman.

Volman observed that neither the General of AFRICOM William Ward nor Vice Admiral Mueller “were under illusions about the” purpose of the command.

“Thus when General Ward appeared before the House Armed Services Committee on March 13, 2008, he cited America’s growing dependence on African oil as a priority issue for AFRICOM and went on to proclaim that combating terrorism would be “AFRICOM’s number one theatre-wide goal.” He barely mentioned development, humanitarian aid, peace-keeping or conflict resolution.”

Related: NewsRescue- Conflicts in Africa- Introduction

“Since then, as General Ward has demonstrated in an interview with AllAfrica, he has become more adept at sticking to the US government official public position on AFRICOM’s aims and on its escalating military operations on the African continent,” stated the piece. Volman argued that contrary to expectations, President Obama had chosen to increase US military intervention in Africa by providing arms and training to the Transitional Government in Somalia, an attempt to make the continent a central battlefield in the “global war on terrorism.”

He further argued that the operations of AFRICOM had been expanded through a proposed budget for financial year 2010, which will provide increased security assistance to repressive regimes in Nigeria, Niger, Chad, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and key US allies such as Ethiopia, Kenya, Djibouti, Rwanda and Uganda.

The war game test drew various participants from the State Department and other US government agencies, foreign military officers (including military representatives from several NATO countries, Australia and Israel), journalists, academics, and the private military contractors that helped run the war games: the Rand Corporation and Booz-Allen.
Another of the four scenarios that were war-gamed was a test of how AFRICOM could respond to a crisis in Somalia — set in 2025 — caused by escalating insurgency and piracy. Unfortunately, no information on the details of the scenario is available.

The five-day game was designed to look at what crisis might erupt in different parts of the world in five to 25 years and how the US might respond. Back in 2005, the US had predicted that Nigeria would break-up in 2015. The report was highly criticised by Nigerian leaders.

Nigeria: U.S. Speaks On Nigeria’s Break-up

3 February 2012

United States of America (US) yesterday spoke about the possibility of Nigeria breaking up in 2015, saying the US did not make any such predictions.

Ambassador of the United States of America to Nigeria, Mr. Terence McCulley has said his country never predicted that Nigeria would break up by 2015 as earlier reported.

The envoy who spoke in Ibadan said the prediction was done by a private agency that carried out a survey and not the US government as claimed by the report.

It would be recalled that he United States military had, in May 2008, conducted a war games test called Unified Quest 2008, to ascertain how its military might respond to a war in parts of Africa including Nigeria and Somalia.

According to an article written by Director of the African Security Research Project in Washington, DC and Guest Columnist of AllAfrica Global Media, Mr. Daniel Volman, the Nigerian scenario was predicated upon a possible war in 2013. The article observed that it was the first time the African scenarios were included, as part of Pentagon’s plan to create a new military command for Africa: the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM). It also emerged that “the free flow of natural resources from Africa to the global market” was one of the “guiding principles” of AFRICOM, as articulated by Vice Admiral Robert Moeller at an AFRICOM conference held at Fort McNair on February 18, 2008.

McCulley said the US government considered Nigeria as a strategic partner in Africa adding that the role that Nigeria plays in peace keeping operation in the continent was very vital.

Describing the violent activities of Boko Haram sect as unfortunate, he said he was optimistic that it would soon be resolved going by the combined efforts of both Christian and Muslim youth to solve the problem.

To him, the issue of Boko Haram menace could be attributed to political rivalry between the North and the south stating that his country was playing a major role in checking the excesses of the sect noting further that with the sending of bomb technicians to Nigeria, it was indicative of the robust relationship between the two countries.

He said corruption in the country was a fundamental problem which had created wide gaps between the people and government urging all tiers of government to ensure that the vice was tackled.

He advised that the government should strengthen all the relevant anti-corruption agencies and give them necessary backing to perform.

Earlier, McCulley expressed earlier in his remarks that Nigerians exercised Freedom of Speech and Expression last month when they spoke out to debate the decision to remove subsidy on gasoline.

“They did so peacefully, for the most part, from Lagos and Ibadan to Kaduna and Kano. And the Nigerian government, for the most part, protected its citizens’ right to speak out, and held accountable those who abused authority. This is a sign of democracy: people exercised a fundamental freedom, and the government listened.

“Nigeria is also a country of diverse faiths, and Nigeria also draws its strength from this diversity. In spite of this-perhaps because of it-some people seek to exploit religious differences in Nigeria.

“But, many Nigerians have refused to let this happen. I am pleased to see ongoing interfaith dialogues among religious leaders. I was especially encouraged by reports of Christians protecting Muslims during Friday prayers during the protests against fuel subsidies and Muslims guarding Christian churches during Sunday services after the horrendous Christmas Day attacks. Efforts like these to promote a universal freedom of worship will help everyone prosper”.

“Nigerians have also voiced out the need for good jobs, schools, health care, and infrastructure. In fact, from the conversations and comments I heard during protests in January, many Nigerians seemed to say that they also wanted to enjoy this freedom from want. I am pleased that Nigerian government has responded by pledging to eliminate waste and focus on infrastructure projects that Nigerians need. This is also a sign of democracy,” he said. source

Nigeria must break otherwise there can never be peace in the country again. The North and South are not the same, they have nothing in common, different religion, culture, language, traditions etc so it's far much better for Nigeria to break up. That's the only solution to all the problems the Nigerians are facing today

  2. Larry king says:

Dialogue remains d only solution to solve issues like dis…I don't like d idea of war coz it will do us no gud..I believe most of our leaders today n elders statemen xperience d biafran civil war…so d shud beta remain in dis mess called naija or go hug transformer

  3. Godwin says:

Nigeria is a great nation, their is no doubt about that, their is non of these great nations today – france, us ,uk, china, japan,Germany to mention but a few that has not faced some of the challenges Nigeria is facing today, We no the statements made by some of our politicians during the past election that brought jonathan in as our president may likely bring some security challenges in Nigeria, we no them, we understand their games and plans, both them and their evil allied will be disappointed before 2015, their evil programs, manupulation and immagination will not come to pass, am very optimistic, 2015 election will be peacefull, free, and fare, we will continue to stand by our president and uphold the unity of this country. God will continur to disappoint all the prophets of doom who wants nigeria seperation. BOKO HA RAM and their sponsors will die a natural death, AMEN.

  4. mohammed says:

Nigeria;s greatest enemy are not the Americans who want an African Military High Command presence on our sacred territories to control our God given resources at all costs by setting a 2015 date for our dear Country's dis-integration or the IMF/IBRD/World Bank Bretton Woods instituitions who are willing tools of oppression to underdeveloped countries of the world with their palliative policies using their stooges foisted on governments or even BOKO Haram which is not a threat at all. The greatest enemies of Nigeria our past thieveing leaders from all spheres of life who have refused to carry out their pledge to make things better in our country using our resources to develop and create opportunities for our common good and of course collaborated with foreign hostile nations to destroy Nigeria. Our campaign for justice should be that these collaborators should be sacked from Goodluck Jonathan's government.I am talking of Olusegun Aganga,Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and a host of those mad doggs Harvard trained lunatics who dont consider our cultures before imposing these destructive palliative measures.Do not bring our country to war.Please.

  5. john says:

the problem with 9ja as a nation is one that was not instigated by anybody or country, its a case where the center cannot hold anymore then thing will fall apart, whats the difference btw 9ja and a warring nation? is that guns are not roaming the street , we all know people in their thousands die on daily bases in hospital, 9ja has no foundation from the colonial days

  6. Moukhy says:

All those craps & wimp agitating 4 war shld gt this into their condensed thick skulls, Nigeria will 4eva leave as one nation Insha Allah!
    Up united Nigeria!

  7. Jacob says:

I think you people are not getting the America, the truth is if Nigerians do not want to break, then GEJ must act like a president not a dummy. For crying out loud Bokoaram have their sponsors who are well to do Nigerians and politicians which we all have an idea of. Remember during the PDP Presidential primary in Abuja, one person was eminent and wants to rule by all means possible. Saying they promise him that after the last regime, his own turn will come. This kind of person am very sure will have hands in using Bokmoaram as his own tool to disrupt the progress and peace of the regime of GEJ and Nigeria as a whole. I wonder if GEJ is scared of this person? Because if he doesn't act and the excesses of these people are not amputated… Me personally see us breaking even before the due time America postulated because nobody wants to be bombed. Better still you guys in the north should start raising your army to fight this people and expose them.

    • pambegua says:

U seem to be right, but the boko haram is neither the product of the north nor the product of the northern oligarchies. It is rather the product of those who installed puppet regime and divided nigerians along ethnic and religious lines in order for their dream of breaking up nigeria to meterialised, so that they ll continue to exploit the oil rich region to the latter.

      • Ernest Eme says:

        @ pambegua & Moukhy

But through the north's military leaders, from 1967 to 1999, your north of Nigeria has presided over and exploited this oil found in the Nigerdelta, the home of President Jonathan, whom pambegua here alluded to as a puppet president.

Who said One Nigeria shall ever be with minds like yours?

Moukhy must stop people from bombing of people in churches, as well as brace up for a Nigeria of fiscal federalism before he realises his dream of continued One Nigeria.

People from the north led Nigeria from 1967 till 1999. During the period, most of Nigeria's oil revenues were stashed away in foreign banks and some cannot even be traced by descendants of those leaders now. Much of the revenues was also used to perform pilgrimages to Mecca. So why do you believe that a democratically elected President Jonatha who is trying to right the many decades of wrong is a puppet?

  8. Ezike Nwaeze says:

It is a glaring fact that the US is fighting so hard to colonize not jst the African continent but the world. How are my not sure that the US is setting up these terrorist attacks in Nigeria in order to penetrate fulluy into our God given nation. It's true that we are in crises but we have not lost our heads jst enough to give room to your evil plan.

  9. Idris Samaila Bongor says:

It's very sad that when a Nationhood issues comes up like this, u find out that they people involved don't even like each other from the words that spit out from there heart. These are people that proclaimed being educated to the core, what an educated illiterates that they are and with the look of issues, already Nigeria is nothing but war in peoples minds, that's why Nigeria cannot progress to it's billings as 9ja!

  10. The EAST is Republic of Biafra. WEST is Oduduwa Republic.

The North is BOKO HARAM Republic .Those who want Nigeria are living a lie. We know the Ancient Landmark and the Nations in this experiment called Nigeria. ONE NIGERIA IS DEATH & SUICIDE to the NATIONS who are being forced to die with her.

    • The same selfish interest that led u to bring in the clueless Eebele is no doubt still prevalence in u. Do u just lock ur head in ur caves and speak through other organs because u were not born during the biafra war to witness what ur pple went through? When US instigated break ups occurred in the above mentioned countries what progress did they achieve so far other than serving as US killing tools. Sudan was successfully disintegrated and now the US "pet Southern Sudan" are there feasting on themselves. Every country has challenges and Nigeria is not an exception my dear.

  11. EvenEzra says:

Nigeria is a vast multi-ethnic country with many nations artificially amalgamated by the British in 1914.

If the US military intervenes in Nigeria to support any region or ethnic group, it would exacerbate the inter-ethnic and inter-religious rivalries across country.

The interests of Nigerians and the USA would be better served by promoting a conference of representatives of all the ethnic groups to arrive at a consensus on how the Nigerian federation should be organised.

  12. Abrams says:

The problem in Nigeria today is as a result of the almagamation 1914 when the British added the Arab looking people(Hausa and Fulani) to the southern part of Nigeria, before the almagamation the white man ought to known that we do not have anythig in commom with this arab set of people, but because they needed a verse area to colonise they jioned us together. Today we are surffring because the selfish reasons of the British people. When you are travelling from lagos to Abuja the moment you ger to Lokoja it will be clear to you that you are entring a differend world. they should have added northan Nigeria to Sudan or Niger because they look alike and have the same religion

    • ken says:

      U are totally right Adam.

    • ken says:

Its better to break up than to live with infidels.

    • Oduduwa says:

I pity the intellectual bankrupcy of you two, i think you should study and appreciate the situation of Rwanda, Sudan and Libyan people so that u can better understand the subject matter

    • Donbee says:

Who are the infidels?wow! That is a strong word. Of what background are u? Go into the history of the world, then u will find out that, of those who deceive most are those of ur blood. U need to grow up and use ur brain to analyze and not ur emotion

    • Donbee says:

Very wrong. Before d Niger and Benue. Remember we have Adamawa bellow the Benue and Kwara before the NIger who have considerable Fulani's, Gobir's, Nupe, Gambari's and Bororo's amongst them.

  13. ramatu shehu says:

Dear America if u wnt ur tru color out n if u do not want to give birth to ur un popularity then stay away from nigeria. Nigeria is a family on its own n nobody dears intervain in family matters n if u do u will get covered with shame so please AMERICA stay away from GODS own family, we r the experiment in which the britain made by GOD.

If u wnt to fight NIGERIA, we as NIGERIANS will fight u back. So stay away we do not need u. Our politicians are not our voice.

  14. ramatu shehu says:

We may be stupidly involved in stupid things but one thing for sure nigeria formed by the british, as formed will never break up. So please america, can u mind your business. We r not family n never will be. Stop sticking your nose in peoples business.

  15. Edwin Eze says:

You can be rest assured that NIGERIA will not break.

  16. wina says:

honestly i do not believe in division the major problem of nigeria is high rate of poverty the violence you see everywhere in the country is mostly carried out by angry youth where by most of these angry youth have lost the zeal to live .this thing did not start today or yesterday it gradually build up over years and years.take a group of some youth that have got jobs and something doing to keep them busy and take another group that have got no job .nothing doing either educated or illetrate interview both groups then you see where nigerias problem is coming from.if we have good leaders that can produce basic amenites (light, water, good roads industries for production which will create massive job oppurtunities)i tell you there will be love and friendliness among nigerians.in other great countries they have basic amenities they also have lots of problem as well.go to uk, us, e.t.c and see what is going on.the moment we get these right in nigeria i tell you brothers and sisters nigeria will be the envy of other so called great nation.come to think of it y the crazy fight over you being from the east, west ,north or south.or you being a christain, muslim, traditionalist, buda e.t.c. any body could have being from anywhere.i have very good friends that ar from the east north and south and i realise nigerias problem is poverty and greed(storing useless and crazy wealth for children yet unborn by our greedy leaders)i still believe there will be peace in nigeria and in few years to come nigeria will be the envy of many so called great nation.niger dey kakaraka no division

  17. sammy emma says:

too me this country will soon be great but my problem is this will jonathan be the last king of nigeria case study for us all

  18. sammy emma says:

God be my witness if this best country break up now then there will be a problem because no matter our difference we still have that last hope of surviving as a nation because this country is a future world power

  19. Daniel says:

The Almighty America has intervened in many third world countries in the course of their history, may I ask which of these Nations has emerged after such intervention strong and stable? I want to remind every one about IRAQ. It started like a joke that Iraq had WWD More than one decade after America invaded that country millions of citizen lost their live and properties with an uninterrupted flow of Iraqi oil to the US all this while, Those WWDs were never found Iraq today is worse off than it was more than ten years ago with a bomb exploding almost on a daily basis on the streets of Bagdad. Iraqi oil however, is flowing smoothly to satisfy the needs of America. Let us not kid ourselves a break up of Nigeria will not be as simple as some of us are assuming. Those scheming for it will make sure there is some kind of war and millions of lives are lost. Because weapon will be sold to both sides of the divide, oil installations secured and production of oil sustained to feed American needs, puppet regimes installed on both sides to further protect American interests. The innate greed of our leaders will prevent them from seen the hand writing on the wall until we are plunged into this impending doom. However, there is nothing God cannot do. The Panacea is a strong, fearless, focused, corrupt free and determined leadership, Does President Goodluck have these qualities? The prognosis after more than a year in office does not look promising, but there is hope only time will tell!

    • Donbee says:

Correct u have hit the nail on the head. This is more like it. I which we have more Nigerians that sit, think and analyze with facts like u. Nigerian pple needs to wake up. Nobod can solve our problem expect we rise up to save no to political invasion by greedy and tribalistic politicians. Take a cue from USA in God they trust and not even religion or tribe will break them up. They are the free mesons

  20. slydol says:

I have taken time and pains to go through this article of possible break-up of a Nigeria state. The question is who is agitating for a break up or who is instigating it.

In a simple analysis, this only occurs when some group feel either of real or perceived to have been cheated.

In Nigeria who have been cheated than the south and the south- south minorities.

Though am from there but what do we really want, because even in military era, people from this region were appointed twice as vice president. Their positive impact toward the development of this region is left for me and you to judge.

It could be argue that was military regime but as fate will have President Goodluck is of Niger delta, what other could not do for his people if he does not the the problem of Niger delta is not Nigerian but Niger delter them self.

However, though Nigeria may not be as big or populous as US but how many indigenous languages are in Nigeria.

Nigeria should be restructured to a truly federal state.

    Thanks

  21. brice says:

Every1 is entitled to his or her opinion.but think, open ur eyes.have u ever seen any good out of war?it's never a solution,so desease from even tinking about it.if there is ever a war in these country many of us may never leave to see the end and the proposed breakup.many of u will be long dead before the end.so whats the whole aim of killing urselves wen u will not be there to benefit from the outcome, dat is if there will ever be a positive outcome.just pray people and leave a good and honest life where ever u find ourselves for God always listens to the prayers of Nigerians. And stop the fight among yourselves for the GOD WHO Delivered us from the tyrant ABACHA will surely deliver us from this crises.pray people and REMEMBER,these are just the signs of the END………….

  22. Erujeje says:

I seriously think the guy that goes by the name muzamill is really a crazy guy. Who is praying for war and why the sudden outburst against the southern part that has been feeding you good for nothing northerners. Come to think about it, is the north having the notion that it can withstand the south as regards war, the answer is NO. Because we are human and value life does not mean we are cowards. The north should be aware that we can give back whatever measure they bring, So don't be fooled

    • Donbee says:

Correction nobody feeds on anyone. We are all dependent on each other . Have ever thought before the discovery of the oil, what Was Nigeria feeding on? What was the main source of forign exchanfge. Which part of the country earned more? How was is divided amongst the then reigon. Was thereba clamor from one region to the other that we feed ur ass? We need to wise up. We sld all be thinking abt how d resources will benefit us rather than a groupmof pole, while we keep shouting resources that never benefits me and u.

  23. ID' EHIS says:

If Nigeria will break up in 2015, it will be decided by God Almighty. A lot and lots have been happening in Nigeria where some part of the country feel they are and remain owners of power. We are getting more wiser and wiser everyday. Those who assumed they will continue to dictate how the country should be managed must have a rethink of their unpatroitic act.

  24. Joe says:

hahahaha lol i laugh so much. my brodas and sister make una no fear or shake body we Nigerians we dey wait for them kamkpe. abi una dey fear ni. make una tell dem na. no any Niger – Delta people here ni? I swear to God You All Will SURELY DIE IF YOU FACE NIGERIA.

  25. anonimious says:

THE AMERICAN GOVT IS BLINDED BY GREED AND LUST FOR POWER, WE IN NIGERIA REJECT THEIR PREDICTION, EVEN IF SOMETHING OF THAT SORT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN, BELIEVE ME IT IS GOING TO BE AMERICA'S DOING, BECAUSE WHAT THEY ARE ACTUALLY AFTER IS OUR NATURAL RESOURCES, TO BE MORE PRECISE, OUR OIL, THEIR PLANS WILL DEFINITELY COME TO NUTS. THEY ARE ALL BASTARDS SEEKING WAYS TO ENRICH THEMSELVES.

  26. seg says:

PLEASE LET PEACE RAIN IN NIGERIA, COS WE CAN ONLY SEE THE BEGINNING OF WAR BUT NEVER KNOW WHAT MIGHT BE THE END OR WHEN IT WILL END, DON'T LET THE SO CALLED WESTERN NATION TO CAUSE CONFLICT BETWEEN WE THE NIGERIANS….GOD BLESS NIGERIA,,,GOD BLESS AFRICA

  27. ADEWALE says:

The fact that we exit as nation for now, does not clearly indicated that things cannot turn the other way but eveybody should know that NIGERIA as an ESTATE will not break the way it's happening to other Arab countires recently.

Our political system is very DYNAMIC, forget issue of RELIGION, EHTNICITY and REGIONS their is always a SMART way issues are resolve in NAIJA

Hence, dont let permit the WAR formular, cause the pains of war will definately be unbearable to all as a nation.

But can United State boldly shoulder the consequences of WAR IN NIGERIA? they better dont try it, because if it erupts, Afghan and Iraq will be a childs play.

    God bless NAIJA

The early the commoners , masses, the working people ,the poor people in Najia realised this truth and fight to overthrow the oppression class.

I am highly impressed by the outburts of expressions from brothers and sisters from Najia. The message is clarion calls for equitable, just ,egalitarian Najia. This can only be realised in one naion , one destiny. Najia problem is class issue i.e rich vs poor/working people. The Rich and their collabrators in uniform /agbada ,foreign companies and governments have put the majority of the working people /masses in bondage, perpetual suffering and smiling . All tribes are well represented in this Rich Class and oppressed their blood brothers and sisters. 32. NIGERIA, WE ARE ONE PEOPLE UNDER ONE NATION.

Nigeria, we are one people under one nation.

Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo; Even though we speak in diverse tongues, we are our brother and sisters keeper. We must quickly reject every suggestion of a possible tribal break up in Nigeria.

We are one nation under one God and Purpose.

I urge the western world to keep away from our affairs and stop their unwanted intrusions in our dealings.

May the purpose of God be realised in Nigeria.

    REAL CHANGE BEGINS WITH YOU.

  33. Together is better says:

The Issue in nigeria is not North vs South.its curruption.even if the north should go.we the Niger-deltans will sill have division within ourselves.eg Urhobo vs Itsekiri vs Ijaw, isoko vs Ndokwa.

  34. muzzammil says:

Ib

    • Jerry says:

You are a damn fool and stupid for making such illiterate comment. How informed people are in the north. I it not illiteracy that caused you people to kill innocent corp members over an election which you clearly loss just because you people do not realize the value of education and also respect the sanctity of human life.

      • Donbee says:

Guys u need to wake up. We have d brightest of brains in the north south, west and east. So stop it. Go into history dear u will find out that the minorities are the Fulani's but they have bin able to conquer the greatest part of Nigeria to rule. Starting from kwararafa down to sokoto and Adamawa. Also remember that knowledge came down from the grat ottoman empire. Like wise in the south we have the oyo and benin empires with great knowledge.

  35. MJ says:

My heart bleeds with the comment of some unpatriotic Nigerians it seems to me that they are neither just stupid nor fullish but something wost, how can one in his rightful senses think of such for his country it is unfortunate. people think of just north or south but the sad thing is that those same leaders will still be the ones to rule us if we don't do something about them, the people need to come together so as to save the country from this looters.

  36. joe says:

  39. DR.BENJAMIN KC says:

    GOD BLESS NIGERIA.ARISE O'COMPATRIOTS!!!!!

  40. MYONLYLAND says:

Nigeria will survive n matter the evil conclussion of our enemies,The northerners should allow peace to have firm root in Nigeria.

  41. Toni says:

People keep saying Nigeria is artificial, something created by the British etcetera. However, be that as it may, Nigeria is still more legitimate than America. The British forged a single Nation, Nigeria, out of disparate peoples' but a least the peoples lived in the area unlike America. America belonged to the native Indians but Europeans left their native lands, crossed the ocean and stole the land from the Natives and created what we now call U.S A.

All Nations are in a sense artificial. They are convenient entities. However Nigeria is more legitimate than the America some African fools use as the epitome of legitimacy to bash us Nigerians.

By gods grace Nigeria will survive, I believe she is ordained to do so by the spirits of the Africans Ancestors buried under the Atlantic ocean. We are ordained by them to be that thing which the world fears most and that is a powerful Black Nation capable of surviving in this world on its own terms. Likewise the foreign nations and their African stooges, many of whom are here pretending to be Nigerians and calling for our breakup, know what we are capable of achieving that is why they will work underground to see that we fail as a Nation.

    All Nigerians must be vigilant.

    • dr. abraham says:

what gives legitimacy is a common agreement on how we want to stay and live together as one, not whether we were there for donkey years before coming together. that is what is missing in nigeria. we need a sovereign national conference to discuss how we want to equitably remain as a common wealth. no region is superior to the other, this is what the north must understand.

  42. Ib Moh says:

I think all this small boys talking out of fantasy about break up, about war,….. what the hell is wrong with you guys! You think war is something to joke with. Even the so called super powers with all the modern sofisticated weapons are afraid of war my friends. I term you all as teanagers and narrow minded. You are just like a youth who graduated from high school thinking his strugle is over due to his boyish thinking, not knowing that the strugle is yet to begin.I am advising you to find the definition of war from your grandpa who witnessed the biafran war. God as the creator of this Nigeria is fully awear of the ethnic complicity before making us a nation it will and must continue to remain as a nation, like it or leave it….thats your choice. If you are fed-up…pls leave. Nigeria will continue to remain ONE! Nigeria will be salvaged from the clutches of Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western greedy unpatriotic so called elders and leaders by the grace of Almithy GOD!

  43. IKECHUKWU says:

please I am pleading to the almighty God to give us Biafra because we are tired of this fucking country called nigeria, I pray God almighty to kindly let the entire Igbos go, my Igbo brothers in the South South and my Igbo brothers in Benue state and Kogi State lets go and form our Biafra because we have everything it takes to leave as a grate nation any other trubes that will like to join us in Biafra you are free to join us ok, God bless Biafra and bless the well wishes of Federal Republic Of Biafra Amen.

    • peter says:

can say wht will happen 2moro cause & u only kwon u i migt supot u from outside but ins tink twis i d nothenens

    • Odeche says:

Ikechukwu, who are your brothers from Benue and Kogi States? Do you think we are interested in your 419, kidnappings, arm robberies, petty shrines, prostitution and other crimes? Listen, the middle belt have and will always have to options: 1. Staying with our northern neighbours on a re-negotiated terms based on mutual respect and interest; 2. Stay on own on solely without anybody. There is no any other option. Do not forget, the North have indeed in the past valued us very much. It may interest you to know that out of all the leaders the north produces, majority are from the northern minority tribes: Balewa, Gowon, IBB, Abacha, Abdulsalami and now Mark are all from the northern minority tribes. Didn't that tell you we can re-negotiate our term?

You may wish to limit your brotherhood search to the Southsouth, we are only not sure if those will agree to share the oil with you, that is if they quickly forgot how you treated them in former Eastern region.

  44. orfega says:

nigeria is blessed and we remain as one nation men will rise and defend the unity of this great nation

  45. Onye Eke says:

The game will soon be up for this political contraption called Nigeria. Requiam nigeria – Long LIve Great BIAFRA.

  46. jeroy says:

Breaking nigeria is not the solution to our problems (corruption in low and highly places) but the beginning of another problem whose end nobody would be able to imagine.

    • The Peace says:

Thank you so much for your wisdom on the matter.God bless people like you and I who have the vision beyond national enimity and finger pointing.

      The Peace from warri.

  47. The Peace says:

The Issue in nigeria is not North vs South.its curruption.even if the north should go.we the Niger-deltans will sill have division within ourselves.eg Urhobo vs Itsekiri vs Ijaw, isoko vs Ndokwa.

  48. Ade says:

Who is deceiving who? U can only fool some people some times, but U can not fool all the people all the time. If things continue the way it is, then there is no other way than to break up (break to pieces) because the greediness of Nigerian leaders doesn;t show that they are going to change or repent of their various evil ways, @ 50 No Light, No Road, No Water and other social amenities . Please dont ever let me hear you calling yourselvces GIANT of Africa, we were pleading on behalf of South Africa then, but they are better off now, The amalgamation by the greedy British Colonial masters were for their own selfishness, may the Lord forgive them for their attrocities against Nigerians. LET NIGERIA BREAK UP AND THEN THE BRITISH CAN COME AND PACK THE PIECES OF THEIR SELFLESS SERVICES TO COLONISED AFRICA NATIONS. GOOD BYE TO NIGERIA.

  49. veranique says:

what is so fantastic about nigeria being a failed state? what the hell do some people mean by the fact that we should pray??? what kind of prayer? a lot of people are there with the country's resources in their pockets and stepping on the unfortunate tribes. a lot of youths are there with no jobs…………. graduates are without jobs and even the middle aged common country men/women who have served their country for as long as 25years do not have a house or asset to their name. most of them cannot even feed or educate their children. And you tell me that we should not divide?? the north comes to the south anbd uses her natural resources to make life affordable for themselves, while the source is languishing in abject poverty; all becasue they are in power. the country is in chaos; over how many billion to be used to celebrate a stupid 50th anniversary of the nationb while people cannot eat. why not use the money to build factories? why not create employement for the simple man? a nation where a graduate becomes a ricketty driver……….. a nation where a first class female graduate is frustrated into sexual relationships just to get a job to assist her family. why on earth should the country not divide?? which prayers have we not prayed? which cries have we not cried??? Nigeria is predicted to be a failed state in 2015 and i am sure of it. the political system is hanky-panky; the northerners want power at all cost; a corrupt former president wants to come back to finish off thge nation; the present president does not have all christians backing him because bthe igbos are looking to pick the presidential ticket in 2015. the year will be fought for by the suth-south, northerers and the igbos. so???? why do you think that by Nigeria being a failed state then does not mean that our prayers have been finally answered?? I AM IN FULL SUPPORT THAT NIGERIA DIVIDES IN 2015

    • Daniel says:

      Hi Veranique,

You speak from the heart that is full of pain. I share your pain. Nevertheless, the solution is not division it is that of honest and selfless leadership, this is because EVERY STATE in Nigeria today has those ills you have pointed out about the country. Or would you say the states in the south are been governed properly? We Started with three regions, then twelve, nineteen, twenty one and then thirty six states with more agitations. Even if Nigeria is divided into many countries, without meaningful leadership these cries will continue.

    • wina says:

honestly your brain is full of sawdust what a shame i have never being involved in a war .i have read lots of true life war books .i tell you its terrible .i do not believe a breakup would be the true solution of this country.the americans ar up to something .open your two useless eyes widely and see what is going on .americans will give with the left hand and collect a thousand fold with the right hand. i tell you nigeria will never never and i repeat never breakup .the only problem i see, from the way things are, we still have not gotten the right leader.americans are greedy and there plans will fail badly .GREAT NIGERIA.WE GO SURVIVE

  50. Kany says:

I think it will do us much much much good if this country is divided…… but is just that Nigerians are cowards. This country is like 6 or more different countries FORCED to stay together with one part dominating the other.

  51. bez says:

a good and purposeful govt will with God's help solve the delta problems.i feel for them but its ignorance to want war

  52. Nigeria is a great nation made by God,if you look deep you will know that the almighty creator is quite aware of this nation's existence, perhaps evil men has held us down all this while,i mean for a very long time. But presently i think all the true Nigerians will wake up to a new virtuous morning. What we need is CHANGE! …….true change.i have a dream where the world will change and become one1,no damn hatred, greedy and then Obama will stop the war at Gaza and unite the Jews and Arabs,it's just a dream anyway just like Martin Luther KING dream t many years ago but today black obama is the U.S president.

The world is old and tired of wars lets cultivate peace and harvest peace.Niger is not a failed state but can be a failed state all in our hands,we can liberate this beloved country from the hands of cabals, foolish extremists just like when the Creator himself rescued us from the hands of monster Sani abacha.

In my opinion we can still make it,we shall change power from the north and teach them how to do it becos dem no sabi at all!

Then we can improve business with our American brothers on a clearly note with the Americans respecting our policies and entities as a state. The answer is attitudinal change,i mean the real CHANGE.

    Niger sail on

  53. general says:

But really I see so much greatness unequaled ever in the history of mankind if we stay together and do the right things. Such a beautiful country. From the south south to the east to the west and north etc, it's so beautiful sometimes i feel like crying. Please I beg the youths of this country not to let this happen to us. We can do it, we will keep trying. We will not go down with Nigeria but Nigeria will rise up with us. Amen

  54. general says:

divided we fight united we fall and scatter period. fundamental changes must be preached, imbibed and enforced on an individual bases before we can stand strong whether it be as a united country or separated entities.

  55. Son dey says:

From Above:All of you are Stupid ambassadors of nigeria..Please mind what you post on the internet…Pray and lets make a change not war or arguement.

  56. victor ojobo says: says:

It is only children and the ignorant that thinks Nigeria is going to breakup. The educated and the men will never agitate for that because there know what it means. Patriotic Nigerians will never think of breaking up, we should keep dialoguing its the best. Children keep quite and let the men do what they know. we are ONE.

    • Headley Milliner says:

It is not only children that think Nigeria or any african state can break up. There might be some people who are not recognising that the world is changing to greed, and making economical power its primary basic goal. The plundering of oil deposits for economical wealth is rendering the normal thinking process of human beings impotent. If we could just take a step backwards, and not follow the the typical westen societies philosophy, Nigeria or any African state would not have to worry about breakup. These ideas of breakup are placed in peoples minds to bring about those results.

  57. Whether anybody likes it or not, and as long as it is very clear that the North are greedy extremist only bent on draining the Niger Delta resources, and yet want to continue to dominate the geo-political landscape of the Nigeria structure with some stupid hidden islamic agenda, at this juncture, we the Niger Deltans can no longer take it. Sooner or later the real fight will erupt and believe me this will not be the type of Biafra and Nigeria army war. The North will be slaughtered and they will be disgraced and finally driven away. Nigeria must break and the 2015 date to me is even to far. I am predicting the war/conflict to start by 2011 and the break up process by 2013 and finally a new country/name for the South South part of Nigeria. I know the South East and South West of Nigeria will be just fine as well on their own and obviously happy for the break-up, whether they will participate in the war or north

    • Noora says:

Learn somehing to say better.Dont just talk simply because you need to talk, but talk when you have something to say reasonable.

My dear Solomon,You dont know WAR

My dear Solo, Always pray for peace,Nigeria is a peaceful Country,Nothing can divide it. We thank God for that.

  58. daobu yellowe says:

NIGER DELTA REPUBLIC. I am a true Niger Deltan and patriot. i will not let the works and sacrifices of the honoured likes of Major Isaac Adaka Boro, Ken Saro-Wiwa go in vain.we the massess have endured too much. It is clear that the 1914 amalgamtion was, fortunately or unfortunately, a grave mistake meted out unto us not by God, but by the British for their Euro- centrist interests. Nigerians should diversify her economy in order to get rid of this oil curse. Niger Deltans, stnd up for your rights and determine your political future and destiny.

  59. Frank says:

You uneducated fool, we have to divide, north keep your sand, west your commerce, south your oil, u north are like pigs

  60. Ose says:

Nigeria Can Never Break Up.We are One a and we are the GIANT OF AFRICA.So USA should leave us ALONE.

    • KJ says:

LEAVE US ALONE??????? WHAT THE HELL ARE U TALKIN 'BOUT??????? IF THE SOUTH DOES WHAT THE NORTH DOES, WILL THEY TAKE IT, WILL NIGERIA NOT HAVE BEEN A FAILED STATE SINCE THE 70'S….. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH……..WE THE NIGER DELTANS HAVE TAKEN ENOUGH SHITS FORM THE NORTH…….AND I THINK IT'S TOO LATE FOR THEM TO REALISE THAT NOW……..COUPLE WITH THE EVERYDAY TROUBLES THEY ARE CAUSING FOR THE NIGERIANS, THOUGH I'M NOT SUPORTING A DIVIDED STATE,…..BUT I WISH I WAS NEVER BORN A NIGERIAN……, DAM NORTHENERS …….DAM NIGERIA…..IT'S ALREADY A FAIL STATE.
